Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? VP Bank, St James's Place

VP Bank , the Liechtenstein-headquartered lender, has made senior hires in its Singapore office. St James's Place Wealth Management Singapore
The firm has appointed Christian Christow, former head of intermediaries business at Deutsche Bank in Singapore, as head of business development. Christow has been based in Asia for 10 years. He will report to Sylvain Gysler, head of intermediaries at VP Bank (Singapore) Ltd. Further growth in the area of intermediaries headcount at VP Bank is also planned in the coming months.
VP Bank (Singapore) Ltd has also hired Claude Chevroulet as chief operating officer.
St James’s Place Wealth Management Asia, part of UK-listed (Singapore Branch) as well as serving as the deputy president of the Life Insurance Association in Singapore.
The wealth management firm shrugged off controversy about the alleged charging practices of some of its advisors by reporting a sharp rise in net inflows of funds under management for the first six months of 2017. Flows into St James’s Place rose to £4.3 billion ($5.65 billion) from £3.1 billion in H1, 2016.
In the case of Gill’s erstwhile employer, FPI, it has been recently sold by its UK-listed parent, Aviva.
